Description of Trip
Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary will be a Unique Outback Experience.
Located 600km from Adelaide and just north of the Flinders Ranges. Arkaroola has plenty of 4wding in the area that there is to offer. With their many unique monuments, rugged terrain, towering mountains and granite rocks, gorges and waterholes.
This is going to be a Nine day adventure, travelling up to 1600-2000km.
It’s a 13 hour drive to Arkaroola but we will break it down to 2 days, then 4 days around Arkaroola and 3 days getting home via Broken Hill and Mungo National park.Wednesday 21st:
Departing Bridgewater we will travel up the Calder hwy towards Mildura turning left at Red Cliffs onto the Stuart hwy passing through Renmark and onto Burra for the first night. 670kmThursday 22nd:
Leave Burra heading towards Hawker passing the Flinders Ranges onto Arkaroola 480km.Friday 23rd-Monday 26th
Travelling and 4wding the Various of tracks that Arkaroola and the Gammon Ranges has to offer.Tuesday 27th:
Leave Arkaroola heading towards Broken Hill via Lake Frome 480km.Wednesday 28th:
Head up to Silverton look around at the township and Silverton Hotel.Thursday 29th:
Leave Broken Hill head towards Mungo National park via Menindee and Pooncarie, camping in the National park.Friday 30th:
Head for home via Mildura.

At Arkaroola you will have the option to stay in the accommodation or camp in the camping area with most of the facilities, except fresh water
Book in advance depending on which accommodation you prefer.Provisions Plan to be self-sufficient at Arkaroola. There is a store with basic items at the village. Bring enough food and water for your stay Camping fees or permits National park permits when travelling through the Gammon Ranges, permit is needed when camping obtain from Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary.
