Our last 4WD trip for the year was an epic one, hill climbs, descents on old logging tracks, ruts, rocks and winching on some sections it was a great trip.

We travelled over to Avoca on the Saturday morning, having 6 vehicles for this weekend we headed into the Pyrenees state forest and straight into it, down a logging track led by Maurice and a rock went straight through his front tyre, we had to change it on the side of the hill with the winch rope holding him, that track took 3 hours to get down.

Finally we arrived at Waterfalls camp ground to meet Paul and Fiona to join the trip. We had a quick lunch then back into it, up Fraser track taking more tracks in the area and heading to a picnic area near Glenpatrick to find a camp for the night, getting the fire going to keep warm from the cold wind and the rain that was coming through camp.

On the Sunday morning we woke and were on the tracks by 9.00am with Andrew and Tim leaving the trip to head for home. We weaved our way around the Pyrenees taking more logging tracks that was great driving, and kept you on your toes. Eventually we got to Cameron’s camp ground to have lunch. Heading off again taking Tiger Track and making our way back to Glenpatrick camp ground by 3.00pm pumped our tyres up and we ended the trip there and headed for home.
