Description |
---|
Ernie and Gaye will be running a base camping trip exploring some of the areas in Little Desert National Park over a weekend. This will be an Easy-Medium trip depending on conditions, and a good way to get some sand driving experience, it’s also a great time of year for wildflowers.
We plan to do a full day driving on Saturday, and half day driving on Sunday, then returning to Bendigo |
Meeting Place and Time |
Kiata Campground, Saturday morning at 9am (many will opt to come up Friday night and camp) The campground is sign-posted from the highway. Turn left off A8 just before Kiata (approximately 26km past Dimboola), follow Kiata S Road for 7km and turn left into campground. |
Approximate Distance |
300km |
Fuel |
Fuel is available in Dimboola, however may be closed on Friday night if you’re coming up after work (open 8am Saturday morning), many vehicles would manage on full tanks ex. Bendigo |
Convoy Limit |
Ernie has told me that the last trip to Little Desert had 13 vehicles, so I’m guessing there’s no limit… |
