Start of the Murray
Melbourne Cup weekend.
Base camping at Native Dog Flat Camping area.
Saturday: Leave Bendigo via Bright Mt Hotham, Dinner Plain to Omeo on the Alpine Way. Omeo to Benambra taking the Benambra/ Limestone road to Native Dog.
Sunday: Ride to the Start of the Murray. We will drive up to Cowombat Flat track to the locked gate. Then ride the 13 km to find the Start of the Murray. Ride back to the vehicles and back to Camp.
Monday: Hang around Camp for the day.
Tuesday: Head for home.
What to bring:
Camping equipment (Tent or Swags Camper trailers access).
Bike suitable for off road tracks ie Mountain bikes.
Backpack (food for lunch and snacks, water)
Suitable clothing for bike riding and weather.
