Here’s a bit of a summary of the upcoming trips the Sandhurst 4WD Club will run in Spring (September, October and November 2018).
Trips are the key focus of the club and we are working hard to always have a calendar full of trips.
You can check out the calendar on the main page of the website at any time, and as a trip approaches the organiser will create a Facebook event where you can discuss plans for the trip. You can also contact the organiser directly to ask any questions or book in a spot before they fill up.

Buckland Valley to Buckland Valley
Saturday 3rd November – Tuesday 6th November
(camping Friday night optional)
Trip Rating: Hard (trip and track difficulty reference)
Russ is organising a trip for the Melbourne Cup long weekend, so if you can get Monday off this will be worth it. Buckland Valley, Mt Selwyn, Sarah Spur Track, Crooked River Track, Blue Rag, Twins Jeep past Mt Margaret and back into Buckland Valley
Keep an eye out for day trips
Typically the weekend following a club meeting
Trip Rating: Varies
We haven’t settled on a regular day trip, but typically what happens in the meeting is that someone says “who wants to do a day trip” and something gets organised. Keep an ear out in the monthly meeting and watch the Facebook members only group.
On the horizon
The entire trip calendar for 2019 has been loaded up onto the website, so explore this at your own leisure and get some dates locked into the calendar when you can! Event Calendar
Things are going to quieten down a bit over summer, with 1 trip planned into the high country on Australia Day weekend. Keep your ear to the ground as additional trips may be advertised over the next few months.
- Jan 26 – Jan 28 – Butcher Country
If you’re looking for longer trips, we are doing Fraser Island during the April school holidays in 2019 as well as a 9 day high country trip (also in April)
