Here’s a bit of a summary of the upcoming trips the Sandhurst 4WD Club will run in Winter (June, July and August 2018).
Trips are the key focus of the club and we are working hard to always have a calendar full of trips.
You can check out the calendar on the main page of the website at any time, and as a trip approaches the organiser will create a Facebook event where you can discuss plans for the trip. You can also contact the organiser directly to ask any questions or book in a spot before they fill up.

Two additional winter / snow trips
Dates – To be advised the week before
Trip Rating: Varies
Russ is organising two additional winter trips, dates are going to be decided based on the predicted weather, and posted on the facebook group the week before:
– Tomahawk Hut on Carters rd Mt Buller.
– Sheepyard Flat, up to the Bluff
Keep an eye out for day trips
Typically the weekend following a club meeting
Trip Rating: Varies
We haven’t settled on a regular day trip, but typically what happens in the meeting is that someone says “who wants to do a day trip” and something gets organised. Keep an ear out in the monthly meeting and watch the Facebook members only group.
On the horizon
Spring is also looking busy with 3 trips planned from September – November visiting the High Country and Mallee Deserts
- Sept 8 – Sept 10 – Stringybark Creek Tolmie
- October – Little Desert

If you’re looking for longer trips, we are doing Fraser Island during the April school holidays in 2019, and the rest of the 2019 trip calendar is being loaded onto the website calendar in the coming weeks.
