Since the club has had quite a few new members recently, and we’ve been using our winches on trips from time to time, we thought it would be good to have a bit of a social evening, and also do some practice and demonstrations on using the winch.
The venue will be Russell’s property in Bridgewater.
Saturday Day
We will be using winches and practising using Russell’s test track, on Saturday morning we will demonstrate techniques for using the winch safely, and if you have a winch on your vehicle you can practice using it. If you don’t have a winch, we encourage you to learn as there may be times where you need to assist with other vehicle’s winch recoveries. You can also have a go at driving around the track in the afternoon.
This should be good training whether you have a winch or not, so we encourage everyone to come along to this one, as it’ll be a great opportunity to catch up and kids / families are welcome as always.
We’ll start at 9am, and we’ll have a BBQ lunch at 12noon with left over snags from the open day.
Saturday night
This will be a social night, cook dinner and sit around the camp fire. If you want to put something in the cookpot on the fire go for it, there is a large fire pit.
BYO camp chair, and whatever you want to eat and drink. BYO swag / tent if you are planning to camp overnight.
